Writing your first novel?
Whether you are writing your first novel as a bucket list item or are dreaming of being a full-time author, this journey you are about to embark on will be one of the most memorable ones in your life. It will also be one of the toughest and most frustrating, so let’s get that out of the way right at the beginning. Writing a good novel is hard work.
Most of you will have a day job, family commitments and other time dependencies which will eat into your writing time. But, if you’re passionate about doing it, you will make time to write.
I receive many emails from people asking me questions, advice and wanting writing tips so I’m going to go through my writing process, and give you tips that might help you on your journey.
There are now two new sections on my website, one for writing tips and another for publishing tips. I’ll be adding to these every few weeks
And so, to start off with the writing tips. I have split them into the following seven pages. In each page, there will be three to four topics that I hope will help you on the road to publishing that bestseller.
The writing articles
- So you want to self-publish a novel
- Ideas and concepts
- What type of writer are you?
- Outlines and plans
- Your characters – In progress
- Sitting down to write
